The Doctors are OK if you can get to see one! The admin is atrocious and seems to have the parent - child mentality added to the dictum "We're the NHS and we know best!" Some of the staff are different however , but the rest run on rails. seemingly thinking that the public should be eternally grateful for their presence. After ringing and re-ringing the surgery number it took an hour to get to speak to a human. Surgery number seems to be perpetually engaged. There is no queuing system. Finally got through at around 9.30am., however it took around 4 mins for someone to answer. By then there was no chance of getting an appointment instead was offered an emergency one. What wasn't explained was although you have to check in at the surgery by 10.30 am then you have to wait until the doctors have finished their usual appointments, which is around 11.30am. to be seen by a doctor. Still you can console yourself by reading the "no show " figure which apper n the overhead displays. Since the Practice has a policy of 3 "no shows " and you're out it would probably better to emphasise this point rather than just mention the figures. They say “Patience is a Virtue “ and you'll need it here!

The Doctors are very good if you can get to see them. try making an appointmebt , be prepared for a long wait, as the phone number has no queing system and seems to be permanently engaged until 9.30 am. You then get recorded mesage saying pleae wait to speak to a receptionist, and they mean a long wait!

It really depends on which receptionist you speak to, some are more approachable than others.

For a week I tried to book a doctors appointment. Takes you forever to get through continously ringing the surgery for it to be engaged. Most times I'd get through between 5 and 20 minutes of opening times. Everytime I was told all appointments gone and only emergency drop in clinic available. But with the issues I need to speak to the doctor about eg on going health issues that have been diagnosed already are not acceptable in the emergency clinic nor is wanting to speak to them about more then one issue acceptable. I have not been given the choice or ability to be able to pre-book an appointment for another day. They would not let me speak with the manager to discuss this poor level of care. The receptionist was not even bothered that I have been suicidal and told me to call back Monday and I can speak with someone then about my suicidal thoughts. This surgery is a joke, I have various health issues plus mental health and the duty of care they have shown is non existent and totally disgusting. I have written to the practice manager and to date have not had a response! If I could register with another surgery I would but this is the only one near me that I am able to be with. I would not never recommend this surgery it's absolutely disgusting! I've eveb seen the receptionist ignore the phones when they are ringing just so they can have a chat with each other.

You can never make an appointment I was told Monday that the doctor I wanted to see would be in Wednesday and to call up then. After calling about 5 times I got through just to be told she's not in today and all pre-boockale appointments are gone. The doctor will be in tomorrow call up then. I can't get online to book an appointment as it keeps locking me out. What a joke it is to make an appointment can't wait to move house after Christmas and move docoters
